Grounded in these beliefs, in 1997 Toby Causby began working with client-partners in the fields of education, business, social service, and faith/ministry. Toby’s work has taken him throughout the United States and to both England and Austria.
Toby’s passion for communication and multiculturalism first emerged while living and learning in West Germany during the months before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Born and raised in rural Oklahoma, Toby brings a unique mix of life experiences to his work with individuals, groups and organizations. Toby has enjoyed adventures as an international youth exchange coordinator, a corporate trainer, the programs and education director to the world’s fourth largest youth hostel, and farmhand.
Core to the development of Toby’s consulting approach are insights and experiences gathered from working as an educator both inside and outside the college classroom. Toby has served as a resident assistant, a conference assistant, an assistant hall director, a residence director, a chaplain-in-residence, and a coordinator of residence hall ministry.
In addition to his work with client-partners, Toby serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Humanities, History, and Social Sciences at Columbia College Chicago.
Toby earned his Bachelors Degree in Speech Communication from Oklahoma State University and his Interdisciplinary Masters Degree in Organizational Development and Multiculturalism from DePaul University.
